North Dakota Tribal Colleges Awarded $7 Million in Federal Funds

North Dakota tribal colleges, including one on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation, will receive $7 million in federal funding.

Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten will be awarded more than $1 million to help strengthen academic quality, management and overall fiscal stability. U.S. Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp, both of North Dakota, announced the funding in statements Friday.

Fort Berthold Community College in New Town, Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates, Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt and United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck also received funding.
