McDonald Honored by U. of Montana

Salish Kootenai College Presi­dent Joseph McDonald was named outstanding alumni of the University of Montana at an awards ceremony held during the university’s homecoming events October 5-8.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards are given annually to graduates who “have brought honor to the university, the state or the nation.”

McDonald earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 1958 from the university. He returned to receive a master’s in 1965 and a doctorate in education admini­stration in 1982. He has been president of Salish Kootenai College since it was established in 1978.
