The future of tribal colleges will be the focus of the ninth annual conference of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium.
To be held April 8-11 in Bismarck, North Dakota, the gathering will focus on sustaining traditions, using new technology and building leadership for the future.
This year’s conference is being sponsored by the five North Dakota tribal colleges: Fort Berthold Community College, Little Hoop Community College, Standing Rock College, Turtle Mountain Community College and United Tribes Technical College.
The event will include workshops, presentation of papers and activities ranging from a pow wow to the National Indian College Championship Basketball Tournament.
