Salish Kootenai Offering Four-Year Degree

Salish Kootenai College in Montana has become the latest tribal college to offer an accredited bachelor’s degree. Its four-year human services program was recently granted ten-year accreditation by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools.

Human service degrees allow graduates to work in alcohol and chemical dependency programs, vocational rehabilitation, developmental disability and elderly services, among other fields.

In addition, a new bachelor’s degree program in environmental science is also being established. College officials hope to begin offering upper diviĀ­sion science courses in fall 1994.
