Leech Lake Tribal College recently finished a major revision of its curricula and degree-granting programs. New areas of study include Anishinabe Art, Tribal Administration, Law Enforcement, Casino Operations, Cultural Interpretation, Environmental Science, Counseling American Indians, and Media Studies. These lead to either the Associate of Arts or Associate of Applied Science degrees.
The new degree programs supplement Anishinabe Studies, which is the center of the curriculum. This interdisciplinary course of study leads to the Associate of Arts degree and has been the most popular degree choice at Leech Lake. The fall 1995-96 enrollment was 178 students, 60 percent of them Indian.
