Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College hosted one of the first showings of a new film “Jim Northrup: With Reservations.” The film is a portrait of author Jim Northrup, who honors his Anishinaabe/Ojibwe/Chippewa traditions with his poems, short stories, and barbed humor. The film follows Northrup from his home on the Fond du Lac Reservation, traveling across the country, spearfishing, making birchbark baskets, hunting moose, and visiting the Vietnam Wall.

The half hour film by Mike Hazard and Mike Rivard is a project of The Center for International Education, a nonprofit media arts organization based in St. Paul, Minn. The movie is distributed by Native Arts Circle, 612 870-7173.
