A Reason to Live; A Right to Live

I just received my copy of Tribal College Journal, fall 2000 and began reading the Editor’s Essay. What caught my interest was the sentence, “We see women who have been beat up because their men resented them wanting to empower themselves, but they come anyway…” I am one of those women.
