IAIA Hires Farley For Museum Post

ALUMNA HIRED. IAIA has hired one of its graduates, Delana Joy Farley, to serve as the museum registrar.

Delana Joy Farley (Diné) has been hired by the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA, Santa Fe, NM) as the museum registrar at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts. Originally from Littlewater, NM, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Museum Studies from IAIA. In 2008 she received her Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from New York University. During her schooling, she served as an intern at both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and El Museo del Barrio in New York City. Farley is interested in the history and theory of museums, museum education, cultural and indigenous rights, and crosscultural theories of value. She is a traditional fiber artist and beading enthusiast, as well.
